A tooth becomes impacted when there is not enough room to accommodate the space in the dental arch and growth becomes impossible.
Usually, the best way to solve this problem is with an extraction. Our dentists will take good care of you during this surgical process.
After the procedure, you’ll probably experience some soreness and swelling. Don’t be alarmed!
A cold compress works great to alleviate the swelling. In addition, our dentist will prescribe pain medication. We also advise all patients to be gentle with the extraction area and modify their diet for a few days to allow for healing. We’ll give you more details on what to eat after your surgery, but you can plan on eating mostly liquids.
